After some time of trying to meet in a full number of five members of the board we have succeeded to meet at the number of two people after all. I am glad that we were able to meet anyway.
- We spoke of a role of the board and about a role of each individual in it.
- About the way how to encourage those who neglect their talents
- About Rostislav and how we love him, we want to see him but he needs to respect other people in the church, so if he wants to come must take more care of himself. If he can`t do it on his own, we are open to help him, but his approach to the church and to God should change.
So good news is that the church board works again.

On Sunday it was really cool Bible study, based upon verses from Luke 12:49-59.
I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
54 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
55 And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
58 When thouguestt with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.
59 I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.

are the words of Jesus. It refers to his death and it surprised us that it really talks about baptism in connection to a death old andresurrectionn of new.
We also talked about division of family, and disturbing effect that Jesus` teaching has in the world.
Finally, worship service was sort of lead by the Holy Spirit, because two peopleresponsiblee for service didn`t show up. So the rest of leaders had to take care of it. It was fine, we just need to pray for those who neglect the service.
Pray for us, and for Jirka and Cindy, and also for me. I have my exams on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. CET. Actually math is hard for me.

Christmas is coming
Here we are again at the Christmas advent and it is coming. Can you believe it? It is almost here. Are you ready for Christmas this year?

An Idea
This is an idea about spreading Good news.
We meet on regular basis, we sing, we pray, we do church activities, but to be honest I feel too much like we spend so much time on self preservation of the church, and too little on speading good news.
I know that there is a chance to get into a student programs trough various christian colleges and universities such as AIM, Go-Net, etc. I would like to participate in such plans and to create an environment for students to come to city of Brno and to help spreading good news in this city.
We have a good location in the downtown of the city for church meeting that we use during the weeks also. There is a room for students to meet their teachers, and prepare lectures on various Biblical topics. We just do not have people to be part of it.
I personaly do not like such a situation, so I would love to change it.

We meet,
we sing,
we pray,
but what can we do
to bring Gospel in every home?
We can pray,
we can seed,
we can watter
but it all depends on Him
to let the seed grow.
I pray so that we can find ways that are not our ways,
but ways of God.
Because it is all for Him that we spread Good news.

Brno Church
Hey you all.
Finaly again I have got to share few news with you all.
Its been about two weeks ago Darina Fojtikova and I went to the church retreat at village called "Dlouhy" and it means Long in the czech language. It was awesome time there, I can tell you. We have spent there tree days (Darina) and two days (me). It was a nice time of sharing encouragement with each other from Prague-CZ, Vienna -AT, Warsaw- PL, Gdansk-PL Wroclaw-PL, Bratislava-SK,Kosice-SK, Zurich-CH, and Paul Ramgabs from NL church. It was really cool and spiritually uplifting. If you weren`t there, you missed a lot.

I was really surprised how easy it was to get there from the city of Brno, so I do expect more people to visit it next year. The fact was that only two people went there from our Brno church which I think can be better.
Darina and I already spoke about our common desire to visit with neighboring churches on regular basis. Therefore expect more reports to be published on here.

Wonderfull worship
Hey you all,
I just wanted to let you know that I really let the worhip service today very encouraged. The theme of the worship today was doubts and I can tell you that we needed this topic. After all, we had nice time toghether and if you were not there you missed a lot. Though we met at the number of 9 people only it was nice and encouraging.

Back again
Hello everyone. Sorry to let you wait. The break I took was not intensional, my computer was broken and had to be repaired. Now works and so I can publish new articles again. We are still alive, and happy. Please pray for Horsi/ you must remember her. An older lady that shares with others all the good stuff she can cook. She is in hospital and yesterday she had an surgery on her shoulder. She felt off the bike last Sunday and broke her anckle and shoulder. She needs your prayers.

GACS mission trip 2005
To everyone, peak moment of the average time in Brno took time in the first week of April while Greater Atlanta Christian School has arrived to Brno to spend as much time as possible with students from Videnska high school. It was really nice time for Brno church and this year I took an extra load of pictures. It just takes some time to prepare it. An extra part it there too. I took a video I believe you will like it. Purpose of this blog
At the begining, I would like to explain to you how I got inspired to start this blog. I used to be very negative about blogging, but after a visit of Matt Elliott to Brno church I have realized that it is a good and usefull way to keep people informed about what is going on in the church. So here it is, and I hope you`ll visit it on regular basis and give me a feedback.
